Leidos has a job opportunity for a DCO Onboarding Lead expected to start in March 2026. This is a hybrid position allowing a 50/50 remote/onsite split, and can work out of any of our three locations: Hill AFB, Scott AFB, or Whitehall OH. Candidates must be within commuting distance (or prepared to self-relocate) to one of these locations.
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Cybersecurity Onboarding Specialist to join our extensive cybersecurity team. This position will support the DISA GSM-O Task Order 09 Network Assurance (NA) Program. In this role, you will be responsible for seamlessly integrating new clients and employees into our cybersecurity ecosystem. You will serve as a important point of contact, guiding them through the onboarding process, ensuring they have the necessary tools and access, and providing foundational training on our security protocols and platforms. This position is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about creating a positive and secure onboarding experience, and who thrives in a dynamic, large-scale environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Client & Employee Onboarding:
- Lead the end-to-end onboarding process for new clients and internal team members, from initial setup to full integration.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, IT, and Client Management, to ensure a smooth and timely onboarding experience.
- Develop and manage customized onboarding plans, tailored to the specific needs and roles of each client or employee.
- Host kickoff calls and "go-live" sessions to set expectations, provide platform demonstrations, and outline next steps.
- System & Tool Provisioning:
- Ensure new hires are provisioned with the appropriate hardware and login credentials.
- Manage access control and user account processs across various security platforms, including SIEM, EDR, and other security solutions.
- Training & Documentation:
- Conduct comprehensive security training sessions for new hires, covering topics such as phishing awareness, data classification, and mobile device security.
- Develop and maintain clear and concise onboarding documentation, including process guides, checklists, and a knowledge base for both internal and external use.
- Create and update training materials to reflect the latest cybersecurity threats and organizational protocols.
- Process Improvement & Collaboration:
- Continuously evaluate and refine the onboarding process to enhance efficiency, security, and the user experience.
- Gather feedback from new hires and clients to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the broader cybersecurity team to ensure onboarding practices align with overall security strategies and compliance requirements.
Baseline Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or a related field; equivalent experience and/or cyber security certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience in a cybersecurity, IT support, or customer-facing role.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with CJCSM 6510.01b and other DoD cybersecurity regulations.
- Experience working with NIPR and SIPR environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active DoD Secret security clearance is required; ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience working with DISA and/or DoD networks.
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow analysis, system administration principles, the OSI model, defense-in-depth strategies, and standard security components.
- In-depth expertise in the architecture, engineering, and operational aspects of at least one enterprise-grade SIEM platform (e.g., ArcSight, QRadar, LogLogic, Splunk, Elastic).
- Demonstrated experience with malware analysis concepts and methodologies.
- Advanced certifications such as SANS GIAC (e.g., GCIA, GCIH, GLSC) or CompTIA CASP+.
