Based in Park City, UT, Triumph Geared Solutions is a leading independent aerospace gear and gear box supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 200 employees. The Company’s key products and services include power transmission systems, integrated gearbox design and builds, airframe mounted accessor drives (AMAD’s), engine mounted accessory drives (EMAD’s), rotorcraft transmissions, turboshaft internal gearboxes, emergency power gearboxes, and large complex aero gears for both OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.
Park City, UT lies east of Salt Lake City in the western state of Utah. Framed by the craggy Wasatch Range, it’s bordered by the Deer Valley Resort and the huge Park City Mountain Resort, both known for their ski slopes.
Overview
Triumph is actively recruiting an NDT Level III to support a range of technical responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing production environment. The NDT Level III is responsible for managing and establishing internal NDT quality processes and systems, managing the NDT internal and external audits, oversee the NDT Program and establish techniques and procedures and interpret Codes & Standards. This position will touch all aspects of manufacturing and the site in the development of key solutions to solve inspection issues, as well as the training and development of procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintains responsibility for the overall NDT program, implement/execute NDT processes, including Radiography (Computed and Digital), Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, and Visual, having a working knowledge of each technology and its strengths and limitations to ensure the proper inspection technique for the task
- Drive processes to continuously improve the business, enable the next generation manufacturing, and ensure compliance with all governing specifications, codes, and standards
- Administer the Site’s Manufacturing NDT Program, responsible for NDT Level III duties to include processes, procedures, techniques, training, qualification, and certification
- Troubleshoot, provide technical leadership, and correct NDT processes while maintaining product and process flow
- Understand and interpret codes, standards, specifications, and Customer requirements related to NDT inspection to meet Manufacturing demands and compliance
- Develop and implement NDT method procedures and techniques
- Train and mentor Level I and Level II technicians in current methods and new technology both on the Shop Floor and in the Classroom
- Perform site assessments and leadership in audits
- Research and implement new Inspection techniques and technologies to improve current processes and support next generation manufacturing processes
- Ensure safe practices are used in compliance with all governmental regulations
- Identify, drive, mentor, and implement projects that improve overall production quality
