Driver / Delivery Person Class B requiredSunSource

United Central Industrial Supply Company is seeking a dependable Driver / Delivery Person to join our team. In this role, you will safely transport, pick up, and deliver merchandise while representing the company professionally to our customers. This is a hands-on position requiring reliability, attention to detail, and a service-oriented approach in both warehouse and field environments.

Essential Functions

• Operate company vehicles safely, adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise on delivery vehicles.
• Obtain customer signatures and/or payments upon delivery.
• Follow assigned delivery schedules and ensure timely deliveries.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or customer issues promptly.
• Maintain neat personal appearance and professional customer interactions.
• Assist in warehouse and stockyard housekeeping, stock transfers, and inventory control.
• Operate forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, dollies, chains, straps, and other required equipment.
• Comply with all safety regulations, including PPE use, DOT rules, and site-specific requirements.
• Attend required training and safety recertifications.

Experience, Education, and Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate class for the assigned vehicle.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Understanding of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Ability to pass a company-administered driving test.
• Ability to lift varying weights, climb trucks/ladders, and work in diverse temperatures and terrains.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to interact with customers and supervisors.
• Dependable, alert, and safety-conscious, with the ability to work independently.

Work Schedule: Typically 7 AM – 5 PM Monday–Friday; weekends and overtime as required.
