As the Optical Engineering Intern, you will be responsible with incoming inspection, implementation, and minor characterization of optical assemblies.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Cleaning and assembly of optical components.
- Testing of laser parameters.
- Perform modeling when applicable in Zemax, Paraxia, Matlab, etc.
- Learn companies’ manufacturing, quality, and laboratory processes.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- U.S. Citizen.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements/Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of working in laboratory and moving equipment
- General office environment, no special physical demands required. Some lifting and/or moving up to 15 pounds required.
