SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Cloud Architecture Systems Engineer.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer in Manassas, VA or Middletown, RI. A Systems Engineer, alsoknown as lead systems analyst, a network engineer who can also program, or asoftware engineer who can also manage networks, is an IT professional whooversees the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initialspecifications to final rollout and maintenance. These products are oftensophisticated systems that run on the web. System Engineers are concerned withthe "big picture" of a project in addition to technical aspects andmust consider details like cost, schedules and social issues that may beassociated with a project.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with software developers,test engineers, systems engineers and cyber experts to analyze and decomposerequirements.
- Design software approaches, support integration and test, manageinterfaces, and assess software deliveries.
- Work with the larger SWFTS community to integrate CIS releases and deployto the fleet.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, acreative problem solver and able to work effectively in a multi-teamenvironment. Experience with LinuxOperating system, Confluence and Jira is a plus.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field is required
Experience: 3+ years of Systems Engineering experience on software intensive systems
- Demonstrated experience in requirements derivation and management
- Experience generating system engineering artifacts
- Development of test steps in support of requirements verification and validation
- Ability to work effectively with developers, customers, and leadership from multiple teams
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
DesiredCapabilities:
- Experience with containerized applications
- Experience working in an Agile methodology
- Working knowledge of SWFTS and/or AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Weapon Systems
- Experience with Linux Operating systems
- Experience with Jira, Confluence
Location: Manassas, VA
Travel: Quarterly (approximately 4 times a year)
Clearance: Secret
Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - This positions requires the following physical activities: Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and looking at computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
