Leidos is looking to hire a NetOps Specialist Senior / Site Manager in Quantico, VA to join our SMIT program.
SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport portion of NGEN-R, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
The NetOps Specialist Senior will be responsible for performing enterprise network operations and engineering support for a broad range of programs. This will include planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the USMC network on the Service Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) program.
Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Technical & Network Operations
Coordinate infrastructure repairs including directing remote activities to ensure continuity for service delivery.
Review root cause analysis documentation to address performance management and incident correlation issues.
Work within the DevSecOps methodology to plan and support implementation of new technologies.
Prepare recommendations for resolutions to NetOps challenges based on monitoring results, tools analysis, and/or forensics.
Assist the Cyber Team employ approved defense-in-depth principles and practices (e.g., defense-in-multiple places, layered defenses, and security robustness). Assist with the collection of intrusion artifacts (e.g., source code, malware, and trojans) and use discovered data to enable mitigation of potential computer network defense (CND) incidents within the enterprise.
Site Manager & Field Networking Team Leadership
Serve as Site Manager, providing leadership, task prioritization, and operational oversight for the Field Networking team.
Manage daily activities of field technicians and network operations specialists, ensuring work is executed in accordance with contract requirements, SLAs, and Government standards.
Act as the primary on-site technical and managerial point of contact for customer coordination and issue resolution.
Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution across the Field Networking team to meet mission requirements.
Provide mentoring, technical guidance, and performance feedback to field personnel.
Coordinate site-level change management, planned outages, and installation activities with stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with asset scanning, logging, inventory tracking, and documentation for both Lab and Production environments in accordance with Government directives.
Track and report site performance metrics, risks, and issues to program leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
US Citizen and with an active DoD Secret Clearance
Must possess these certifications: Security+ and a CCNP
