Construction ManagerAmentum
Amentum is seeking a Construction Manager located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Construction Manger manages large and complex building or facility construction and/or repair/alteration projects from design to completion.
Job Requirements:
- Uses professional concepts, practical experience and CM software systems to resolve issues in creative and effective ways.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Oversees projects including duties to provide technical oversight, perform design and specification reviews, produce weekly project reports, construction inspections, coordinate monitors and escorts, review construction submittals, escort contractors, review shop drawings, monitor the project schedule and budgets.
- Assists the Contracting Officer in negotiating/processing change orders reviewing invoices, monitoring the project budget, maintaining project records, and otherwise serving as the focal point for non-contractual dialogue with Contractors to answer questions and facilitate contract administration.
- Coordinates installations and inspections, hosts pre-bid meetings and pre-construction meetings and will ensure the Contractor's construction projects are compliant with construction documents, and with state, federal, Safety/OSHA, and environmental regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have first-hand knowledge of construction disciplines such as:
- electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, concrete/masonry, pavements, civil work, HAZMAT handling and abatement, environmental control practices, resource sustainability locks and alarms, IT Systems/signal conveyance/Campus EMCS systems, fire protection, monitoring systems, and etc.
- Be proficient in developing schedules, cost estimates, construction management software programs, MS programs such as Office, Visio, Project, and Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Be trained in environmental and building code compliance.
- A 4-Year BS degree in Architectural/Construction/Engineering with 5 years relevant experience is preferred. Educational requirements may be substituted for construction management experience.
- relevant work experience applying substantive CM project responsibilities. Certified in Construction Management from a nationally recognized institution.
- Must possess an active U.S. government security clearance at time of application
Compensation Details:
$115,000-$125,000
