Overview
Sev1Tech is looking for an Intaller Lead that is able to guide a team who leads tasks not limited to:
- Provides technical guidance and information to meet requirements.
- Responsible for independently designing, modifying, and constructing electronic and electro-mechanical instrumentation used in performance measurements on test and evaluation projects.
- Design criteria is not always standardized or well established and/or improving and updating circuit elements/equipment to incorporate new advances where existing technical data is not always adequate may be the objective.
- Responsible for troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of C4ISR equipment as appropriate for the task.
- Capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.
- Perform installation, operations, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, exercise and test support and maintenance.
- Provides technical direction and guidance to lower level technicians.
- Plans and performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment.
- Provides technical direction and guidance to lower level technicians.
- Must have hands-on or educational experience in two of the following core technical areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware or software), tactical radios, satellite networks, data encryption, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, or Platforms.
Responsibilities
- AA or 2 Yr. Technical School (2 additional years of experience as a substitution)
- Minimum 8 years of related experience
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and be capable of obtaining a SECRET security clearance
- Experience leading a team of installers within the Tactical Radios program
- Must be worldwide deployable and possess a valid US Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a valid passport within 30 days of employment.
- Must be able to read installation drawings and perform installations in accordance with drawing
- Electronic component installation experience
- Hands-on or educational experience in two of the following areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware or software), tactical radios, satellite networks, data encryption, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, or Platforms
- Be detail oriented to ensure proper accountability of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
- Candidates should be computer literate and able to function using the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Travel requirements will be up to 75% of the year to include CONUS and OCONUS locations, with the possibility of as little as 48 hours’ notice prior to a deployment
- Candidates must qualify to rent a vehicle from various national rental car agencies
- Able to use a spectrum analyzer to perform interference and other performance tests on installed equipment
- Testing using Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR)
- Experience with PM Tactical Radios and/or COMSEC
