Type: Full-Time
CURTIS PPE Care is the trusted expert in the care, maintenance, and repair of personal protective ensembles (PPE) used in structural, wildland, industrial, and aviation firefighting. Supporting first responders is our sole focus, and we take pride in ensuring every piece of gear meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.
About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, operationally focused Facility Lead to coordinate high-volume PPE processing in our Kent warehouse. This role combines production work, workflow coordination, training, and problem-solving to ensure first responders receive best-in-class service.
The work is structured and process-driven: you’ll execute repeatable workflows while applying judgment for customer-specific requirements, NFPA standards, and product specifications. This role requires precision, consistency, and independent decision-making, offering opportunities to master complex systems, improve efficiency, and take pride in delivering reliable, high-quality outcomes every day.
Work Environment
You’ll work directly in our operational warehouse, handling firefighter PPE that must be inspected, cleaned, and maintained to strict safety standards. While you’ll encounter soot, residues, and industrial cleaning agents, these are essential to keeping gear compliant and firefighters safe.
The work is physically active and fast-paced, requiring focus, accuracy, and consistency. You’ll work independently for extended periods, applying established procedures while adapting to customer-specific variables. Success comes from attention to detail, problem-solving within repetitive processes, and pride in knowing your work directly impacts firefighter safety.

- Coordinate daily and short-term production schedules to prevent bottlenecks
- Operate cleaning, testing, and inspection equipment as required
- Participate in shipping, receiving, and inventory counts
- Drive company vehicles for routine pickups and deliveries to fire stations
- Support facility organization, cleanliness, and workflow efficiency
- Work independently for extended periods
- Train team members on processes, expectations, and quality standards
- Coordinate with the Branch Manager to ensure timely intake, processing, and delivery schedules

- Comfortable in a warehouse setting with physical demands
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day)
- Ability to lift and handle items up to 50 pounds

- Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English
Critical Capabilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy at production pace
- Retain complex information after initial training and apply it consistently
- Create and use notes, checklists, or references to ensure accuracy
- Thrive in focused, independent work environments
- Able to train others on processes and reinforce expectations
- Maintain focus and consistency in a structured, task-driven environment
