Job Summary

Provide technical administrative support to the Environmental Health and Safety department.


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Compiles and maintains EHS report documents, files, and spreadsheets.
  • Maintain confined space permits, including scheduling of required annual meetings and training. 
  • Assign employee safety training and maintain required documentation of employee safety training.
  • Maintains chemical hazard inventory records and safety data sheet records by coordinating with vendor websites.
  • Overseeing and conducting monthly fire extinguisher inspections and documentation.
  • Demonstrating punctual and regular attendance.
  • Implementing the company's vision statement, mission statement, and corporate and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Abiding by company policies.
  • Maintaining confidentiality.
  • Supporting other Wagstaff departments as required.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration or related field, or two (2) years administrative office experience, or completion of accredited Business Administration certificate and relevant work experience, required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Intermediate to advanced demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Project, SharePoint etc.), Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Acrobat 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general environmental, safety, and health technical procedures or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees

Working Environment

This opening is an in-person position.

While performing the duties of this job, work is performed in a well-ventilated, climate-controlled general office environment. Close computer work is regularly required. The work usually involves minimal physical exertion. The noise level in the general office environment is usually moderate.  

This job may require occasional interaction with employees on the manufacturing shop floor. While on the shop floor, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving equipment and parts risks, and other manufacturing environment risks. Because of this environment and associated risks, coordination with shop floor managers/employees may be necessary before entering the shop floor, and the use of job-appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required on the shop floor. The noise level on the shop floor is often loud.
