MilitaryHire, a SaaS Factory company, announced today that it is co-hosting its next virtual job fair in partnership with ManpowerGroup. The job fair will be held online on June 9th from 2-5 pm ET featuring employers from the defense contracting industry.
Current participants in the job fair include: ManpowerGroup, General Dynamics Mission Systems, the FBI, Bowhead, Sabre Systems, and others. The MilitaryHire June Job Fair is a hiring event for Military Veterans, spouses, and transitioning veterans seeking employment in the defense industry, defense contractors, or government contracting companies.
According to Pew Research Center, U.S. Veterans are five times more likely to work in government related jobs than non-Veterans. As a leading industry for veteran employment, MilitaryHire and ManpowerGroup are teaming up to bring together the thousands of veterans and companies they respectively represent to drive the connections needed to fill needs in the government and defense marketplace.
“We have a long history of serving defense contracting and the companies which supply it,” said Jeff Finefrock, CEO of MilitaryHire. “With over 600,000 veterans on our platform, we are excited that this upcoming virtual job fair will be a convergence of industries needing military talent connecting with a highly talented and motivated workforce.”
Given the challenges of in person events, MilitaryHire has provided a virtual platform this year for a variety of job fairs in industries which are active in veteran hiring, partnering with industry leaders in the veteran services and employment services to support these efforts.
Job seekers will be able to connect with employers that are actively hiring for open positions. The career fair is free for Military Veterans, Military Spouses, and immediate family members that are seeking employment opportunities in 2021.
“Talent and skills shortages are the hottest topic in American Business. And companies are focused now more than ever on hiring folks from the military – veterans, disabled vets, and military spouses. Yet – even though they are highly skilled and highly educated, there is still this divide and challenge connecting this disciplined and dedicated workforce to amazing and available jobs,” said Ron Needham, Senior Vice President, ManpowerGroup. “So there’s no better time than now to increase awareness of the proven potential of veteran and military spouse candidates – connecting their incredible skills to employers who need them now more than ever.” Ron Needham, SVP North America Sales and Marketing, ManpowerGroup.
