Within Leidos’ Defense Sector, the Test Instrumentation & Lethal Mechanisms (TI&LM) Portfolio is seeking a Project Manager to support multiple contracts within its Lethal Mechanisms and Effects branch. This project manager will support multiple projects for DoW government customers. This full-time position is based on site at a Leidos facility in Huntsville, AL.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Project scope & baseline management (i.e. cost, schedule, technical)
- Regular interfacing and alignment with external customer
- Communication and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Scheduling, Engineering, Finance, Contracts and Business Development
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Track project performance and provide regular status reports to leadership
- Manage scope changes and ensure alignment with project objectives
- Ensure compliance with company processes, quality standards, and contractual requirements
- Facilitate project meetings, reviews, and post-project lessons learned
- Risk, Issue and Opportunity identification and management
- Proposal basis of estimate (BOE) generation and support
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. (or equivalent experience, training and certifications in lieu of degree).
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Project and scheduling analytics skills.
- Active DoD Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required)
- Proactive, self-starter with a willingness to learn
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability and willingness to work onsite in Huntsville Alabama; relocation is not offered for this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of design / development / prototyping projects
- Experience supporting government customer base
- Working knowledge of electromechanical assemblies and/or electronics manufacturing
- Strong technical and project management background
