The NISC IV program at Leidos is looking for a Construction Project Engineer to work in Anchorage, AK!
This position will support coordination of plant and facility design, planning and construction for Flight Service Stations and other projects such as facility building refurbishment and construction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Position will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of new or expanded facilities across the State of Alaska.
Prepares or coordinates engineering designs and documents, cost estimates, functional studies, construction plans, specifications, and schedules.
Coordinates with outside contractors and all stakeholders.
Recommends engineering design procedures and standards for the planning and design of facilities.
Coordinates the detailed design, budgetary cost development and tracking, construction, compliance, and final inspection of facility projects.
Conducts planning and review meetings with stakeholders through all phases of a project.
Provides engineering consulting services to local and divisional offices.
Position approximately requires up to 25% travel.
Please Note: One must be able to work onsite in Anchorage, AK. Telework eligible for 1-2 days later on with managers approval.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 4+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience. An additional years of relevant experience may be considered/accepted in lieu of degree.
Project Management skills/background.
Construction Engineer experience.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years of the past 5 years consecutively with no breaks).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous work experience for/with the FAA is preferred but not required.
PMP (Project Management Professional).
Arctic Engineering.
Please Note: The program budget salary for this role could fall anywhere between $100,000 to $110,000 with a slight wiggle room (no guarantees) based on relevant experience and assessment. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
