Leidos is seeking a highly skilled TS/SCI Tier 3 Service Desk/System Administrator to join our team supporting the OSINT Integration Center under the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) mission to centralize and standardize Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT). In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Linux and Windows systems administration, systems maintenance, and performance optimization while providing exceptional user support services. You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment alongside infrastructure engineers, network engineers, and system engineers to deliver innovative solutions. Work will be conducted on-site at our client location in Bethesda, MD during standard business hours, with rotational coverage of the service desk as early as 6am or as late as 6pm.
You will work closely with other infrastructure and network engineers, and system engineers on the following key tasks:
- Perform Linux (primarily) and Windows builds, installations, configurations, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and enforce DISA STIG compliance across systems and networks.
- Develop and maintain server builds for both virtual and physical environments.
- Manage and deploy system integration tools such as Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm.
- Develop scripts for patching, configuration, and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Utilize configuration management tools like Salt and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
- Administer cloud environments, particularly AWS, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimization.
- Provide professional and knowledgeable customer support to maintain excellent client relationships.
- Coordinate with teammates to ensure service desk coverage from 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday.
To be successful in this role you need these skills (required):
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree with 2+ years of experience (three additional years of experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree).
- Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI and Polygraph.
- Expertise in Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Experience with patching (yum/APT repositories) and virtual server builds.
- Familiarity with Agile project management and security requirements derivation.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience working in air-gapped environments.
You will wow us even more if you have some of these skills (preferred):
- Experience with Kubernetes, Rancher, and IaC tools like AWS CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD, Jenkins, and GitLab.
- Knowledge of ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and *beats.
- Experience with Active Directory in a Linux environment.
- Background in maintaining AI/ML environments and large data storage solutions.
