Description
The National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC) Division of the Leidos Fed Civ IT Business Area currently has an opening for a Project Manager. This position will be part of a dynamic team working to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Oklahoma City at their Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center location.
Primary Responsibilities
- A strategic thinker who can demonstrate understanding of requirements, foresee risks, make decisions guided by policies, procedures and a business plan with limited guidance and collaborate across roles to understand a customer’s mission objectives and define project goals.
- Successfully draft and execute project plans, remain sensitive to customer needs, resolve issues, escalate when appropriate and capture and validate requirements, developing and managing project governance plans, project schedules, team goals, defining success criteria and project milestones, and budgets while identifying and mitigating limitations to execution.
- Ability to apply judgement and tact to challenge, recommend, and redirect teams as well as manage client expectations.
- A strategic business partner to help customers achieve their mission outcomes and help to drive innovation throughout the engagement life cycle through iterative feedback mechanisms.
- Use agile delivery methodology to lead project teams consisting of business and technical resources while managing scope, schedule, and cost to create and execute a plan to achieve project goals.
- Able to facilitate self-organizing teams to ensure each team is making progress against sprint commitments
- Removes impediments for the team and escalates to management when faced with challenges.
- Supports and enforces Scrum process and other rules.
- Ensures that the team has a clear understanding of Definition of Done and how to meet it.
- Coordinates with other teams on the contract and communicates status to Management.
- Works with the Product Owner(s) to review and prioritize features.
- Leads and facilitates Agile ceremonies to include sprint planning, sprint review, demos, and sprint retrospective.
- Works with teams to develop user stories to meet the Feature acceptance criteria and requirements.
- Works with the team to develop and adhere to best agile practices.
- Works with the team to develop collaborative tools and dashboards to help monitor metrics.
- Supports the team during UAT and Integration testing as needed prior to deployments.
- Works with the team in planning and ensuring the release process is properly planned and executed.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires a BA degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Must have at least 5 years of experience leading project teams
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Must have experience using Project Management tools like Microsoft Project,
- Extensive Agile knowledge.
- Previous Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) program experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Strategic planning and talent development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
