Overview:

The Site Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for identifying property suitable for future telecommunication sites and negotiating lease contracts with property owners. Site Acquisition works with local jurisdictions to obtain planning and building permits required for the site development. There will also be existing site modification projects which include lease amendment negotiations and local jurisdictional work for planning and/or building permits. Colliers Engineering & Design provides full field training and support with the opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities:

Research and identify property suitable for wireless cell facility development
Relationship/rapport building and negotiating with underlying property owners to secure lease; manage landlord needs and set expectations
Review title reports and work with attorneys/title companies to ensure title is clear for leasing
Research and interpret jurisdictions development standards and land use code
When required, coordinate outreach meetings with residents/Architectural Review Committees/Planning Boards, etc to present a development proposal
Work and collaborate with A&E and other vendor contacts to estimate project timelines, review drawings/design with LL, order photo sims or environmental studies, etc.
Communicate with project team, help identify any potential development obstacles and collaborate through solutions
Forecast and manage a site development tracking report and timeline.
1-2 years experience of tower siting, zoning, leasing and pre-construction process preferred
Relevant experience in commercial real estate, title industry, legal support in real estate development, etc are encouraged to apply

***The Site Acquisition Specialist will be expected to be in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday at a minimum.***

Ability to see project management wholistically, understanding and managing the overall project and its progress
Prioritize tasks while being flexible; strong time management and the ability to manage workload
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
Follow up and proactive communication; Not scared to get on the phone/in person to work through problems
Collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to implement solutions
Professional and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Desire to learn and grow with a stable company
Computer skills including MS Office, Excel
Training and mentorship provided in a supportive environment
