**Description**

Coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with the requirements of their organization. Performing regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, as well as actively participating in strategic development based on quality control plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintain successful relationships with purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory departments.

Assist in the development and implementation of supplier management programs.

Work with purchasing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective action implementation.

Maintain and update critical supplier audit system and schedule.

Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.

Establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals.

Problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conforming material.

Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply.

Develop long-term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction ideas.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor degree or equivalent, previous experience preferred

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt knowledge/certification desired

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write technical documents and correspondences that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
