The Sikorsky Configuration Management Team is seeking a candidate for coop/intern assignment for the Spring Semester 2017 through the Summer (January ? August 2017). Assignments will be at Sikorsky facilities in the Connecticut.

The responsibilities for this position will be to assist in the management, execution and follow through to completion of Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCA and PCA respectively) for the Canadian Maritime Helicopter Program (CMHP).

FCA and PCA are the contract required activity to ensure that all of the functional and physical characteristics of a Configuration Item (CI) meet the customer?s requirements, are accurately reflected in the technical documentation and are realized in the items delivered to the customer

Specific responsibilities include:
? Working with responsible design IPT to identify and obtain copies of technical documentation to be audited.
? Assisting in set-up of audit dates, location, attendees and ensuring all required documentation is available.
? Capturing results and actions items from audits and publishing minutes.
? Tracking and follow-up of audit action items to closure.

This is a unique opportunity to participate in one of the essential elements of a development aircraft program, required for the program to establish a production baseline.

Candidates must display an ability to think logically, communicate a clear understanding of their subject matter and offer informed suggestions to improve processes; respect individual differences and utilize the diverse thinking and contributions of all team members/employees.

Basic Qualifications
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelors or Master's degree and in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering, System Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Science, Materials Science or Computer Science from an accredited college.

Minimum 3.0 GPA
Co-op internship from September through January

Desired skills
at least three (3) semesters of study

A working knowledge of PC's and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project) applications is strongly desired. Strong communication and organizational skills are required. Proficiency in DOORS requirements management application is a plus. Proficiency in MS Access is a plus. Advanced proficiency in Excel is a plus. Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawing, manufacturing process plans and design specifications/standards is a plus. The candidate must possess the ability to work independently from communicated requirements.
