HOW TO KICKSTART YOUR TRANSITION INTO THE WORKFORCE
FAQ
Our team at MilitaryHire is very familiar with the transitioning process. We have a couple blog articles linked below that will show you step-by-step how to build a desirable resume. You can also reach out to our partners at AMVETS. They will put you in contact with their career resource center. AMVETS provides resume writing help, as well as other career resources.
All Military Hire employers go through a very thorough vetting process before account approval. Employers cannot access the database or post jobs before account approval Employers will not text you about a job opportunity with out prior confirmation via phone call or email Employers will not ask for money, gift cards, or any other items of monetary value prior to employment If you do interact with a company that do believe to be offering fraudulent job opportunities, please forward any correspondence to help@militaryhire.com for investigation.
Jobscouts are a feature that alerts you when an opportunity that matches your saved search becomes available. To create a job scout, go search for a job and fill in the search fields you want. Set up a few with different filters to save yourself the hassle of finding the perfect search for you. Matching results are emailed to you daily.
You can edit or update your account by signing in, going to My Account>Edit Account and adjusting details there. If you cannot remember the email you provided upon sign up, please reach out to help@militaryhire.com for additional assistance.
Use the job search, read job descriptions carefully, research the company beforehand, and try to pick jobs that seem like a similar match to your skillset. If you're interested in a career that you do not have lots of experience in, you can always consider going to a university or community college to get certifcations or degrees, or ask the employer if they'd consider training for those skills.
