The Senior Supervisor?s role is toprovide front line leadership for field Operations. Working as one team, oneNational Grid, the role has an array ofresponsibilities that include assuring a safe work culture, drivingperformance, coaching, mentoring, and overall development ofthe field workforce. This leadership role understands the work executionprocess including synchronized scheduling, and work coordination for a multiskilled workforce for construction, operation, maintenance, and restoration ofthe National Grid electrical system.
PositionResponsibilities (including but not limited to):
Ensuresthe safety of personnel by Promoting National Grid?s Safety vision, leading asafe work culture, and ensuring
compliancewith OSHA Standards and National Grid Safety Rules.
Ensureswork is completed in accordance with appropriate company policies, andstandards are met through monitoring
ofwork. Provides employee feedback, and seeks to understand and resolve qualityissues.
Encouragesan environment of teamwork, resourcefulness, and problem solving to get the jobdone. Shares information and encourages participation in the decision makingprocess. Removes obstacles through communication and collaboration with others.
Collaborateswith the Work Coordinator in developing a (0) week schedule and assigning crewsin order to ensure efficient productivity.
Understandsand enforces the collective bargaining agreement.

Knowledge of: collectivebargaining agreements, construction standards, work methods, safetyregulations, and environmental procedures.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, one-line diagrams and circuit maps.
Possesses working knowledge of OH/UG/Substation maintenance and construction practices, OSHA standards, National Grid safety rules, EOPs, and best practice work methods.
Qualify for Authorized Persons List to coordinate and initiate switching applications.
Exhibit knowledge of OH/UG /Substation vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Demonstrate proficient computer skills involving utility applications, Microsoft office, and field use of laptop computers.
Display well-developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interface and communicate with people at all levels across organizational boundaries.
Portray an understanding of corporate finance and budgeting practices.
Apply creative problem-solving skills in a team environment.Qualifications: Bachelor?s Degree with three years of experience in Transmission, Distribution and/or Construction, servicing customers and supervising employees.
Associate?s Degree with five years of experience in Transmission, Distribution and/or Construction, servicing customers, and supervising employees. or
Minimum of seven years Electrical Transmission or Distribution construction.
Possess a valid driver?s license with a safe driving record. Ability to obtain appropriate level CDL.
Ability to work off-hours and on call rotations sometimes requiring travel outside the Division for emergency assignments. These assignments and situations can require working off shifts as necessary to meet business needs.
Qualify for Authorized Persons List to coordinate and initiate switching.
Must successfully complete job specific National Grid Performance Supervisor training courses within allotted timeframe.
