We currently have an immediate opening for a qualified Load Control Supervisor in our Erlanger, KY CVG Hub. This position will provide safe, accurate and economical load plans using the automated weight & balance program for containerized flights departing the Hub or Gateway locations. Communicate to the down line Service Centers all load information in an accurate and timely manner.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensures proper coordination of customer material on all containerized aircraft at CVG and within other flights in the US network in relation to load planning activities.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, motivating, counseling and discipline of assigned employees.
  • Participates in the establishment of department goals and the implementation of procedures and performance standard to achieve those goals.  Manages, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the activities of department staff.
  • Supervises the nightly operations of the Load Control staff. 
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance and hours.
  • Interact with the Hub, ACS, and NCG groups on load plans, excess weight and or bulk issues. 
  • Formulate strategies for excess material and/or system reroutes.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required. Bachelor or Associate degree preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in Hub and/or airline operations.
  • Ability to report to work at any time, as operational needs required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, record keeping, leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately perform and manage assignments and staff to meet performance goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, in writing and orally, both in one-on-one and in group situations.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to operate PC-based software or automated data systems.
  • Ability to perform jobs of subordinates.
  • Ability to travel for short periods to domestic and/or international locations.
  • Must be able to pass FAA/DOT random drug screenings.
  • Ability to work 3rd shift & weekends.
