Regional Security Manager (RSM)Amentum
Position Summary
The Regional Security Manager (RSM) serves as the senior Amentum representative responsible for the management, oversight, and execution of all construction security operations within the assigned Amazon region. The RSM provides leadership and direction to Site Security Managers (SSMs), Construction Surveillance Technicians (CSTs), Access Control Specialists (ACS), and other security personnel supporting multiple active construction projects.
Acting as the primary point of contact for Amazon management, the RSM ensures contract compliance, operational excellence, staffing readiness, quality assurance, and adherence to all customer security requirements. The RSM is responsible for maintaining security program integrity while supporting project schedules, customer objectives, and regulatory requirements associated with secure construction activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Management
- Serve as the primary Amentum point of contact for Amazon security leadership within the assigned region.
- Oversee all CST, ACS, and related security operations across multiple construction projects.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to Site Security Managers and site-level security teams.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, security procedures, policies, and customer directives.
- Conduct routine site visits, inspections, audits, and quality assurance reviews.
- Develop and maintain operational metrics, staffing reports, incident reports, and program status updates.
- Lead corrective action efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate transition activities for new project startups and site demobilizations.
- Support customer meetings, security reviews, and executive briefings.
Construction Security Oversight
- Ensure all secure construction activities comply with ICD 705 standards and applicable Intelligence Community directives.
- Provide technical guidance regarding secure construction requirements, inspections, accreditation support, and risk mitigation measures.
- Review CST findings, inspection reports, and security documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure protection of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and other secure environments.
- Coordinate with project management, construction teams, and security stakeholders to resolve security concerns.
Personnel Management
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance of regional security personnel.
- Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained across all assigned projects.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, disciplinary actions, and employee development activities.
- Maintain succession planning and bench strength for critical positions.
- Verify all personnel meet clearance, training, and certification requirements.
- Support emergency staffing and after-hours operational requirements.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct security audits and program assessments.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Review incident investigations and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Track training compliance and professional development requirements.
- Maintain records associated with inspections, audits, clearances, certifications, and security incidents.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of security, military, intelligence, law enforcement, or secure construction experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years supporting secure construction programs or SCIF construction projects.
- Experience serving as a customer-facing manager, area manager, regional manager, or equivalent leadership position.
Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) Experience
- Prior experience as a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) or Lead CST.
- Thorough understanding of construction security monitoring procedures and secure construction methodologies.
- Experience identifying technical, acoustic, visual, and physical security vulnerabilities during construction activities.
- Experience conducting inspections, reporting findings, and implementing mitigation measures.
- Extensive knowledge of ICD 705 requirements and Intelligence Community secure construction standards.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong customer service and relationship management abilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.
- Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods.
- Ability to climb stairs, access elevated areas, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to respond to emergencies and after-hours operational requirements.
Compensation Details:
US: $20.00 - $40.00
