Strength In Service (SIS), a military spouse-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides culturally competent mental health care to military-connected families across California, Hawaii, North Dakota, and Virginia.

We are looking for a career-ready military spouse to join us as an Operations Manager.

You will work side by side with social workers and interns, learn how a mental health nonprofit runs from the inside, and grow as a professional who supports mental health professionals.

Fellows who successfully complete the program may receive an offer of employment with Strength In Service.

WHAT YOU WILL DO -

• Provide administrative support to MSW interns, Associate Social Workers, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers
• Coordinate schedules and supervision across multiple time zones
• Support client intake, referrals, and insurance authorizations to include billing issues and working alongside our billing manager
• Help staff manage social health programming, military spouse career support, and direct mental health therapy services
• Assist with communications, social media, events, and executive support

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR -

• Proficiency in Google Workspace and strong technology skills
• Ability to manage scheduling across multiple time zones (required)
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to direct tasks and work side by side with social workers
• Compassion and empathy in supporting fellow team members
• A desire to learn and grow as a professional supporting mental health professionals
• Someone with a working knowledge of advanced electronic medical records
• Experience with LMS systems and tools for organizing and optimization
