Job Summary

The Claims Manager supports military veterans through the preparation and submission of complete, well-organized VA disability claims packages. This role combines client guidance, document review, case management, and quality control to ensure each veteran receives a professional, responsive, and organized experience throughout the claims process.

The ideal candidate is a former Rating Veterans Service Representative (RVSR) who brings deep knowledge of VA disability compensation, evidence review, and rating principles, along with strong communication, organization, and client-service skills.

Responsibilities
  • Guide veterans through Veritas Ratings' claims-support process from initial case assignment through claim submission

  • Review client records, service history, medical documentation, and supporting evidence to identify missing information and organize a complete claims package

  • Apply RVSR experience and knowledge of VA rating principles to identify potential evidentiary gaps, relevant claim considerations, and documentation needs

  • Clearly explain documentation requirements, deadlines, next steps, and the status of each case to veterans

  • Prepare and coordinate claim-related forms, personal statements, supporting documentation, and other materials needed for submission

  • Conduct thorough quality reviews to ensure claims packages are accurate, complete, properly documented, and aligned with Company quality standards before submission

  • Maintain timely, accurate case notes and documentation within Company systems

  • Manage an active caseload and consistently move cases forward while meeting expected productivity, quality, and communication standards

  • Coordinate with onboarding, quality, medical-provider, and operations teams to resolve client issues and remove barriers to submission

  • Stay current on Company processes, VA claim procedures, documentation expectations, and internal quality requirements

  • Handle sensitive client information with professionalism, confidentiality, and care

  • Identify recurring process issues and recommend improvements that strengthen the client experience, quality, and team efficiency

  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned in support of Company operations

Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Rating Veterans Service Representative (RVSR) with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

  • Strong working knowledge of VA disability compensation regulations, rating principles, evidence requirements, and the VA claims adjudication process

  • Ability to interpret service treatment records, VA and private medical records, C&P examination reports, DBQs, nexus opinions, and supporting claim evidence

  • Thorough understanding of the VA Schedule for Rating Disabilities (VASRD), applicable rating criteria, and common service-connection theories

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex claims-related concepts clearly and professionally

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability

  • Ability to manage multiple client cases, deadlines, and follow-up tasks simultaneously

  • Comfort working with sensitive medical, military, and personal information while maintaining strict confidentiality

  • Proficiency with CRM, case-management, document-management, and communication tools

Compensation Structure

$75,000 base + bonus potential of $20,000 - $40,000
