Ideal Candidate
The strongest candidate does not need to be a Network Engineer. Someone coming from a NOC, network-focused service desk, junior network administration, infrastructure support, or Tier 1 technical support background can be a strong fit if they demonstrate:
Troubleshoot logically document thoroughly follow the process escalate intelligently.
What I changed: I removed the client/company name, named individuals, specific customers/sites, interview process, internal staffing details, and commercially sensitive context. I kept the networking stack and expanded the practical troubleshooting scope so an external candidate can quickly understand both what they will support and how technical they need to be.
Anchorage, Alaska | On-site
The underlying qualification discussion identifies the Level 1 NOC opening as being associated with the Anchorage NOC, so I would use Anchorage rather than Houston for external advertising unless the requirement has subsequently been changed.
