Student Engineering Intern (Structural)RESPEC

RESPEC seeks a Student Engineer (Structural) Intern for our Summer Internship 2027 program in our Sioux Falls, SD, office. This is a temporary part-time position.  

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience with a growing North American engineering consulting firm. This is a temporary part-time position.  

This hands-on design position is within RESPECs Facilities (Structural) Market Sector. This internship position will work alongside our firms full-time employees to learn how professional services are provided to our clients. Our experienced staff will provide mentoring and coaching to our interns to allow development of civil engineering skills and knowledge. Interns will get exposed to our clients, job sites, communities, as well as collaborate with our RESPEC multi-discipline team on public and private sector clients. Additional responsibilities include:

• Assist with design work
• Perform calculations and simulations
• Research topics as assigned
• Assist with field inspections
