Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will run your own production line, primarily operating slitting machines. Your role involves setting up the machine with knives and clearances to ensure the finished product is produced efficiently. The role requires handling coils of rolled steel, with the heaviest setting involving lifting up to 25 lbs. Safety is paramount due to the sharpness of cut steel.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage slitting machines.
• Set up machines with appropriate knives and clearances.
• Ensure the quality of the finished product.
• Lift and handle up to 25 lbs. safely.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane as needed.
• Package products for shipping.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years machine operating experience.

There are straight night and day/afternoon rotating shifts currently available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
