Purchasing Director - Grand Canyon South Rim - Xanterra Travel Collections Exciting opportunityfor an experienced Purchasing Director to live, work, and explore in Grand Canyon National Park. Located at the South Rim, the Grand Canyon is a high volume operation with multiple hotels, restaurants, and gift shops. The Purchasing Director will help establish operating policies and procedures while managing the daily purchasing functions of the Grand Canyon South Rim. This role will also support the various departments by sourcing necessary materials/products at the highest quality and most competitive costs. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Purchasing Director will support corporate purchasing programs and help enhance property profits. This role does not purchase for the Retail Department/gift shops, but does purchase for all other departments on location. The Director qualifiesfor a private house within the Grand Canyon community just minutes from the South Rim! Grand Canyon South Rim has over 700 miles of hiking trails and countless miles of backroads. This allows opportunities for hiking, biking, camping, photography, and viewing wildlife. Unique experiences also include mule rides along the rim of the Phantom Ranch, rafting on the Colorado River and train tours along the Grand Canyon Railway.
