Job Summary
A Receiving Clerk with Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts is responsible for receiving materials for the hotel in the hotel continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
This is a terrific opportunity for someone who has hotel operations experience to further his or her career. In this position, you will learn many aspects of hotel operations, and we take pride in promoting from within.
What will I be doing?
As Receiving Clerk, you would be responsible for purchasing materials for the hotel in the hotel continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Receive all products in the hotel. Ensure quality/ quantity checks (checking temperatures, weights, freshness, etc). | |
Transport food and beverage ordered product to appropriate destination promptly and efficiently, ensuring items are stacked in a safe and orderly fashion and safe use of equipment. | |
Fulfill internal requisitions for beverage orders - communicate to Buyer(s) when products need to be ordered | |
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all invoice and purchase order processing. Enter data on computer for Accounts Payable. | |
Maintain cleanliness and organization of storeroom areas - rotating product correctly and keeping track of product freshness where appropriate. Daily sweeping and mopping of coolers, freezer and storeroom floors. | |
Maintain all vendor bids and price accuracy. |
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations regarding storage, safety and sanitation
