Spanish Language Linguist / TranslatorAmentum

Amentum is seeking a Spanish Language Linguist / Interpreter to support the Joint Interagency Task Force – Counter Cartel (JIATF-CC) in Tucson, AZ. JIATF-CC operates under U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) to enhance intelligence, surveillance, and operational coordination in counter-cartel and counter-transnational criminal organization missions. In this role, you will deliver actionable intelligence, ISR tactical support, and facilitate interagency collaboration to directly impact national security. Primary Job Duties:

• Provide Spanish-language simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for meetings and operational coordination. 
• Provide written translation and review of analytic, operational, and intelligence products. 
• Provide interpretation support at the General/Flag Officer and Senior Executive Service (SES) level. 
• Operate Sennheiser (or equivalent) interpretation equipment. 
• Translate technical documents containing military, intelligence, and law enforcement terminology. 
• Maintain engagement records and translation/interpretation activity logs. 
• Responsible for assisting in the development of intelligence planning, intelligence systems architecture requirements, and intelligence training.  

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI Eligibility (TS SCI). Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret clearance 
• Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by and accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Must possess a minimum Level 4 (Full Professional Proficiency) in both reading and speaking, as measured by the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Foreign Service Institute (FSI) scale, or equivalent  Government-recognized assessment. Documentation of proficiency shall be provided to the Government upon request. 

       

Compensation Details:

$70,000 - $120,000

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
