About Strength in Service
Strength in Service is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by and for military spouses, dedicated to advancing mental health, social health, and career pathways for military connected communities. We provide culturally competent mental health therapy, clinical supervision for military spouse social workers, and community programming designed to move military families from isolation to connection. Our team is small, mission driven, and deeply embedded in the military community we serve. We do not just work for military families. We are military families.
We are currently licensed to provide services in California, Hawaii, North Dakota, and Virginia, and we are growing. If you are looking for a position where your clinical skills, your cultural competency, and your values all point in the same direction, you have found the right place.
Position Overview
Strength in Service is seeking a compassionate, culturally competent, and mission aligned Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our growing clinical team in a part-time hybrid capacity. This position blends direct client care with community programming, making it an ideal fit for an LCSW who wants to do more than direct practice. You will provide individual psychotherapy to military connected and civilian clients and participate in community programs designed to build social health and belonging for military families in Southern California and beyond.
This role requires in-person availability in Coronado, CA two days per week, with remaining hours delivered via telehealth. This is meaningful work. It is also flexible, collegial, and grounded in a team culture that takes the wellbeing of its clinicians as seriously as it takes the wellbeing of its clients.
As Strength in Service continues to grow, there is future opportunity for this role to expand to include clinical supervision of associate social workers pursuing California BBS licensure for candidates with interest and experience in that area.
