QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, fine dining preferred

• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and studio guests

• Demonstrated excellence in guest service skills: reliable, consistent, informative and pleasant

• Able to work in a variety of stations with proper and proficient cooking techniques for the Grill, Saut, Pizza oven and Garde manger.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Verbal communication, including speech and response to spoken questions

• Able to work in a continuously-standing position for five or more hours

• Able to work with hands continuously

• Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds

The hiring range for this position in Emeryville is $20.34 to $25.54 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidates geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
