Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tech Buyer for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting a busy technical purchasing team in the engineering services industry. This role is ideal for someone with strong data entry skills, a customer service mindset, and the confidence to communicate with vendors, technicians, and internal team members in a fast-paced environment.

The Tech Buyer will begin training in Pasadena and, once trained, will transition to the City of Commerce location. This is a great opportunity for a motivated candidate who wants to learn, grow, and build experience in purchasing, order processing, vendor communication, and ERP-based administrative support. The team environment is collaborative, hands-on, and well-suited for someone who enjoys staying organized, solving problems, and contributing to daily operational success.

Key Responsibilities

- Enter, update, and maintain accurate purchasing, order, and vendor information in internal systems.
- Communicate professionally with vendors, technicians, and internal teams by phone and email.
- Support the Tech Buyer team with purchase order processing, follow-up, and administrative coordination.
- Track order details, resolve basic discrepancies, and help ensure timely communication on purchasing needs.
- Work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities with accuracy.
- Assist with general clerical, data entry, and order processing duties as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Training location: Pasadena, CA. 2-4 months
- Assignment location: City of Commerce, CA, once trained.
- Start date: As soon as possible.
