Management Company Accounting & Finance Manager | Venture Capital Firm | Menlo Park; Hybrid (3-4 days onsite)

Join a highly respected venture capital firm investing in innovative companies across technology, healthcare, and other transformative sectors. This is a high-visibility, broad-scope management company role partnering with leadership across accounting, finance, payroll, benefits, and HR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management company GL, close, reconciliations, AP/AR, and reporting

• Manage cash, budgeting, forecasting, and expenses

• Oversee payroll and employee benefits

• Coordinate with tax, audit, payroll, and HR providers

• Support HR administration, onboarding, and offboarding

• Support tax filings and firm-level compliance

• Partner with leadership on financial analysis and special projects

• Improve accounting and finance processes

Requirements

• 7-9+ years of accounting and finance experience

• VC, PE, investment management, or financial services experience preferred

• Strong GL, close, and financial reporting experience

• Hands-on payroll and benefits experience

• HR administration experience a plus

• Strong Excel and accounting systems skills

• Highly organized, discreet, and detail-oriented

• Comfortable working independently in a lean environment
