A leading San Francisco-based venture capital firm is seeking a Fund Finance and Operations Associate to join its growing finance team. The firm invests across multiple stages in high-growth technology companies and takes a uniquely active approach to supporting its portfolio company founders.

You'll be working closely with senior members of the finance team, and you will take meaningful responsibility for the day-to-day accounting, reporting, and operations of the firm's funds and SPVs.

Responsibilities include:

• Run monthly and quarterly closes across funds and SPVs

• Prepare NAVs, capital accounts, allocations, reconciliations, and supporting schedules

• Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and tax providers

• Prepare LP reporting and supporting documentation

• Support quarterly portfolio valuations, including comparable-company analysis, valuation models, and draft marks

• Prepare transaction wire packages and maintain cash and investment trackers

• Maintain portfolio data and operational systems with a high degree of accuracy

• Support regulatory and compliance tracking

• Help improve and automate recurring finance processes using modern technology and AI tools (Claude)

Requirements

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 25 years of fund accounting, fund administration, audit, or VC/PE finance experience who wants to move into a high-impact role with significant ownership and long-term growth potential.

This role provides an opportunity to join a high-performing, entrepreneurial investment firm where you'll gain broad exposure across fund accounting, valuation, portfolio activity, LP reporting, and finance operations.
