Description

We are looking for an Attorney/Lawyer to join a civil litigation team in San Jose, California. This position offers substantial involvement in business, commercial, and real estate disputes, with frequent opportunities to appear in court and contribute directly to case development. It is well suited for an early-career attorney or a lawyer building litigation experience in a collaborative setting that values mentorship, skill development, and long-term career development.

Responsibilities:

Prepare litigation documents such as complaints, motions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials with close attention to detail and legal strategy.

Represent the firm in hearings, case management conferences, and other court-related proceedings as matters progress through litigation.

Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, including participating in meetings and providing updates on case status and next steps.

Partner with senior attorneys to evaluate legal issues, shape case strategy, and manage files from early assessment through resolution.

Support litigation matters involving business, commercial, and real estate conflicts, including fact development and procedural follow-through.

Coordinate day-to-day case activity to help keep deadlines, filings, and client needs on track throughout the life of each matter.

Requirements

Admission to practice law or a clear path to working in an attorney capacity, with 0 to 5 years of experience preferred.

Demonstrated interest in civil litigation, including a willingness to build skills through active participation in contested matters.

Strong legal writing, analysis, and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to produce well-reasoned work product.

Ability to attend in-person court appearances and work onsite in San Jose, California as required.

Writing sample must be provided as part of the application process.

Prior courtroom exposure is beneficial but not required.

Detail-oriented mindset marked by curiosity, sound judgment, and a long-term commitment to litigation practice.
