Client Services CoordinatorRobert Half
Job Summary
Description
Are you passionate about helping individuals and families overcome housing instability and regain their footing? Our recruiting team is partnering with a respected community-based nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families access essential services and build a path toward stability, to identify a compassionate, resourceful, and solutions-driven CES Diversion Specialist.
This is an opportunity to do more than connect people with resources. You will work directly with individuals and families experiencing housing crises, helping them explore safe alternatives to homelessness, navigate community resources, and identify realistic solutions that support long-term housing stability.
The ideal candidate is a strong advocate, a creative problem-solver, and an empathetic communicator who can build trust with people facing challenging circumstances. If you thrive in a mission-driven environment and want your work to have a tangible impact on the community, this could be the opportunity for you.
What You'll Do
Prevent Homelessness Before It Begins: Engage with individuals and families experiencing housing instability to assess their immediate needs and explore alternatives to entering the homeless response system.
Provide Client-Centered Support: Conduct diversion assessments and collaborative problem-solving conversations to identify practical, individualized solutions that help clients remain housed or secure alternative safe housing.
Connect Clients With Critical Resources: Help individuals navigate community services, including emergency financial assistance, rental assistance, transportation, benefits, employment resources, family supports, and other available programs.
Develop Actionable Housing Plans: Work collaboratively with clients to identify barriers, establish achievable goals, and develop clear next steps toward housing stability.
Navigate the Coordinated Entry System (CES): Assist clients with appropriate referrals, system navigation, documentation, and coordination with community partners in accordance with program guidelines.
Build Community Partnerships: Coordinate with shelters, housing providers, nonprofit organizations, and other service agencies to identify available resources and facilitate effective referrals.
Advocate for Vulnerable Populations: Approach every interaction with dignity, respect, cultural sensitivity, and an understanding of the challenges associated with housing insecurity.
Maintain Accurate Documentation: Complete client assessments, case notes, referrals, service records, and program documentation while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to applicable policies.
Follow Through on Client Outcomes: Monitor progress, address emerging barriers, and help clients connect with additional support when their initial housing plan needs to change.
Support Program Effectiveness: Collaborate with the broader team to identify service gaps, strengthen referral pathways, and improve outcomes for individuals and families seeking assistance.
