As a Senior Accountant, you will be a salaried employee of Robert Half, partnering with a variety of clients to support critical accounting initiatives, backfill key team members, navigate periods of growth, and drive process improvements. Assignments may range from month-end close support to ERP implementations, audit readiness, and special projects.

This role is ideal for accounting professionals who enjoy solving business challenges, learning new systems, and becoming a trusted advisor to clients.

What You'll Do

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

• Prepare and post complex journal entries and accruals

• Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses

• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules

• Maintain and analyze general ledger activity

• Support annual financial statement audits and regulatory audits

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls

• Support ERP implementations, system conversions, and optimization projects

• Identify accounting issues and provide recommendations to leadership

• Partner with cross-functional departments to improve financial operations

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes

• Experience preparing financial statements and account analyses

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS)

• Experience with major ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, Sage, or Intacct

• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills

• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and business processes

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA candidate

• Public accounting experience

• Multi-entity or multi-location accounting experience

• ERP implementation or system migration experience

• Revenue recognition, fixed assets, and inventory accounting experience

• Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance
