Job Summary

Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, including general ledger management, complex account reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and analysis. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting business decisions through financial insights. The Senior Accountant works closely with management and cross-functional teams while helping to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.

  • Strong experience with month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

  • Advanced knowledge of general ledger accounting and accrual-based accounting principles.

  • Experience analyzing financial results and researching account variances.

  • Knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, or similar.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

  • CPA or CPA-track is a plus.
