VC Fund Accountant | $115K$130K + Bonus + Carry

📍 San Francisco | Hybrid 3 Days

This is not your typical fund accounting role.

Im working on an opportunity with a leading venture capital firm managing approximately $2.6B in assets, investing in companies using AI and automation to transform the real economy.

Theyre looking for someone who wants to go beyond closing the books and help build a smarter, more scalable finance function.

💡 What Youll Do

• Own monthly and quarterly close across venture funds and SPVs

• Prepare NAVs, capital accounts, allocations, and LP reporting

• Support portfolio valuations, performance analysis, and investment activity

• Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors

• Maintain portfolio data, reporting systems, and regulatory trackers

• Use AI tools like Claude to build dashboards, automate workflows, and improve processes

Requirements

Who Theyre Looking For

• 25 years in fund accounting, fund administration, audit, or VC/PE finance

• Strong Excel skills and an understanding of fund mechanics

• A critical thinker who exercises independent judgment and asks the right questions not just an order taker

• Analytical, detail-oriented, polished, and comfortable taking ownership

• Curious about AI, technology, and process automation

• CPA or CPA-track is a plus
