Job Summary

A growing organization in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant for a full-time temporary-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong general ledger experience, solid GAAP knowledge, and the ability to support accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

The General Accountant will play an important role in maintaining financial records, supporting month-end close, preparing reconciliations, and assisting with accounting projects. Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining accurate general ledger records.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, balance sheet, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Review financial transactions, analyze account activity, and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, audit documentation, and related accounting support.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, budgeting, forecasting, and special projects as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour.
