Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing team. This position will support core accounting operations by helping maintain accurate financial records, preparing routine accounting entries, and assisting with period-end activities. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and expense oversight, along with the ability to work carefully in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Support monthly close activities by preparing and reviewing accounting records to ensure timely and accurate reporting

Create and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of general ledger balances

Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to resolve outstanding issues

Review and process purchasing card activity to confirm proper coding and documentation

Prepare and coordinate credit memo requests in alignment with internal accounting procedures

Distribute accounts receivable statements to customers and assist with follow-up on account activity

Audit travel and business expense records for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance

Maintain employee travel and expense report records and support ongoing expense tracking

Requirements Experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role

Working knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger accounting

Ability to prepare journal entries and complete account reconciliations accurately

Familiarity with purchasing card, travel, and expense report processing

Experience supporting accounts receivable activities, including customer statement distribution

Understanding of sales tax and exposure to corporate tax return support

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
