Payroll Administrator (Full-Time/PERMANENT, Onsite) Torrington, CT Area

Robert Half is working with a well-established construction related organization in the Torrington, Connecticut area that is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to process full-cycle, in-house payroll operations working on a team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Maintain and process payroll entirely in-house, including audits, and final distribution

• Administer union payroll, including tracking dues, benefits, and contract-specific requirements

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

• Handle payroll tax filings, reporting, and reconciliations

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner

• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation

• Collaborate with HR and finance teams on employee data, benefits, and reporting needs

• Support audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and policies

Qualifications

• 1+ years of RECENT payroll experience in a complex environment

• Proficiency with payroll or ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

• Degree preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $65,000 $95,000, depending on experience, payroll volume, education, and industry background

• Full-time, onsite position
