Prepares and maintains sterile supplies, instruments and equipment for surgery. Adheres to principles of sterilization, disinfection and maintains a sterile conscience and ethics. Accurately prepares for assigned procedures. Anticipates the needs of the patient and surgical team. During surgical procedures, passes instruments and supplies to surgeon and assistants and maintains an accurate account of sponges, needles and instruments.
