POSITION SUMMARY: Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to applyprescribed ionizing radiation for radio logic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures asrequired. Accountable for the professional and technical ability to perform high quality examinations with minimalsupervision and within the protocols and guidelines set by the Department of Imaging Services. Responsible formaintaining and stocking of supplies, rooms and equipment as outlined by department supervision. Expected tomaintain high standards of technical competence and be an example and assist other technical personnel and studentradiographers within the department. Required to participate in on-call coverage as part of the modality of the essentialof the job requirement CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital. Works with supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious workenvironment. Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in afriendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner. Displaysconcern and provides assistance or explains procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations. Dedicated tomeeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Works with customers to identify problemareas and recommend solutions.
