Job Summary and Qualifications

ThePharmacyTechnicianIIisresponsibleforaccuratelyperformingalladvancedandbasicpharmacytechnicianfunctionsinatimelymanner.Inaddition,theymayberesponsibleforperformingdutiesassociatedwithAutomatedDispensingCabinets(ADCs)andotherspecializeddutiesasassignedbythepharmacymanagementteam.

Identifiescriticalissues,prioritizeworkloadandcommunicatetoappropriatepersonnelanyissuesinatimelymanner

Completesalleducationrequirementsand/orotheractivitiesneededtomaintaincompetencyInteractsinpersonandbyphonewithhospitalpersonnelpolitelyandappropriately.

Accuratelymaintainsrequireddocumentationlogs;Compoundschemotherapypreparationperestablishedprotocol

Complieswithfacilitypolicyandproceduresandregulatoryrequirements

Responsibleformaintainingmedicationstorageandsecurityasperregulatoryrequirementsthroughouttheorganization

Accuratelyperformsaudits(i.e.anesthesia,overrides,billing,etc.)asassignedPerformsqualitycontrolandperformanceimprovementfunctionsasassigned

AccuratelyperformsanddocumentsmonthlymedicationstorageareainspectionsasassignedPerformsadministrativebillingfunctions

Assiststhepharmacistsinclinicalreviewsasassigned(i.e.medicationreconciliation,triagingreports,etc).Accuratelyperformsrequiredcalculations

AccuratelyandsafelycompoundsandlabelmedicationsandparenteraladmixturesAlwaysutilizesaseptictechniquesinthepreparationofparenteralcompounding

CompliantwithallUSP797daily/monthlyrequirements(i.e.Cleaninglaminarairflowcabinetsandbiologicalsafetycabinets,wearingpersonalprotectiveequipment,etc.)

Alwaysobtainsafinalcheckfromthepharmacistbeforereleasinganypreparedparenteralcompounds,beforepackaginganymedication,ordispensinganymedication

AccuratelytransportsmedicationsandotherpharmacysuppliesinatimelymannertoappropriateareasAccuratelyfillsordersinthepharmacy

ProcessmedicationreturnsandrestockingtothepharmacyProficientinautomateddispensingsystems

What qualifications you will need:

• (PHARM-Intern) Pharmacist - Intern, or (PharmTech) Pharmacy Technician License
• +1 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience required
