Financial Analyst - StoresThe Home Depot

Position Purpose:

In this position the Financial Analyst will have key P&L ownership of Management Payroll and Customer Care segments. This role will also be instrumental in supporting project to drive labor efficiency in our stores. This position will need to work cross functionally with both business partners and finance managers across the US Stores finance organization. This role will also require a significant amount of data analysis with large and complex data sets. The FA will also be expected to be a peer mentor to the Project Analyst on the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs economic and financial research and analyzes internal and external issues related to sales, gross margin, rate of return, working capital, investment, financial performance, and other financial metrics.
• Compiles or prepares reports, graphs and charts of developed data.
• Conducts special financial and statistical studies as directed in coordination with other departments in the preparation of statistical studies.
• Gathers and correlates basic information using established and defined financial procedures

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

• This position typical reports to a Sr. Manager
• This position does not have direct reports

Travel Requirements:

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy and/or may be involved in some mildly difficult situations

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor' s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is preferred.
• One years experience in Accounting or Finance is preferred.

Minimum Education:

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
