Description A well-established CPA firm in Bloomington, Illinois is seeking an Individual Tax Accountant. This position is ideal for candidates with 5+ years of tax preparation experience who enjoy working directly with clients and providing high-quality tax compliance and planning services.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in public accounting

Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred

CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred, but not required

Ability and willingness to work additional hours during tax season

Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Responsibilities

Prepare individual income tax returns and work directly with clients to gather information and answer questions

Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication

Manage multiple projects while meeting established deadlines

While the focus for this position will be personal tax preparation, there will be coordination and planning with S Corporations, partnerships, LLCs and trusts.

Collaborate with team members to provide comprehensive tax solutions for clients

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $100,000, depending on experience, credentials, and CPA status
