• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 5:00 a.m.5:30 p.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
• Call Requirement: None
• Charting System: EPIC
• Dress Code: Caribbean-colored scrubs

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of acute-care nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or medical-surgical telemetry
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Recent experience with EPIC electronic health record documentation
• Experience with radial band and femoral catheterization recoveries
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to care for telemetry-level patients and float to medical or step-down units as needed

Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with CHF, stroke, chest pain, diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, detox-related conditions, and other cardiac or complex medical diagnoses
• Continuously assess patients, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and collaborate with centralized telemetry monitoring staff
• Care for patients recovering from cardiac catheterization procedures, including radial band and femoral access recovery
• Administer and monitor prescribed therapies, including Lasix, heparin, Bumex, Protonix, and octreotide infusions or set-rate medications
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in EPIC
• Coordinate care with providers, nursing assistants, respiratory therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide safe, individualized patient care while maintaining a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:56
• Float to medical floors or step-down areas to care for patients at the telemetry level when needed
