This is hybrid position is located at our corporate office in Westmont, IL and requires 3 days a week onsite

Responsibilities

The Lease Accounting Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and managing all aspects of lease accounting for the company. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in lease accounting standards, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Lease Accounting Compliance : ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (ASC 842 & 840). Stay updated on changes to lease accounting regulations and assess their impact on the company's financial reporting.

• Lease Data Management : oversee the collection and validation of lease data from various sources. Maintain accurate and complete lease records in compliance with accounting standards.

• Lease Abstraction and Analysis : lead the abstraction of lease agreements to extract key financial information. Perform financial analysis of lease terms and conditions to support decision-making processes.

• Financial Reporting : prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual lease accounting-related disclosures for the financial statements. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits.

• Cross-functional Collaboration : work closely with real estate, legal, and facilities teams to obtain necessary information and ensure alignment on lease-related matters. Provide guidance to stakeholders on lease accounting policies and procedures.

• Process Improvement : identify opportunities for process improvements in lease accounting procedures. Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of lease accounting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in lease accounting, with a deep understanding of ASC 842/840.

• CPA preferred.

• Visual Leasing Account Software preferred.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements related to lease accounting.

• Proficient in lease accounting software and ERP systems.

• Strong written and verbal communications, problem solving skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in MS Products such as Excel.
